Alex Trebek was the host of the hit game show Jeopardy! that started airing in 1984 and has had a total of 37 seasons that can be streamed on both Hulu and Netflix. Trebek was born July 22, 1940 in Greater Sudbury, Canada and unfortunately passed away on November 8th, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. He was a husband to both Elaine Callei Trebek and his second wife Jean Currivan Trebek. Elaine was a Playboy bunny in the 1960s and a TV broadcaster on the program Call Callei in the 1970s. She later worked as a businesswoman and for companies such as Scent Seal and multimedia music distributor Mag-A-Music. She also had an art gallery in Los Angeles called Gallery GO. Jean started off as a real estate project supervisor and later became a real estate project manager when her and her late husband had first met in the 1980s.

Trebek had two children, a daughter named Emily Trebek who is 27 and a son Matthew Trebek who is 29. Matthew began his professional career in May 2016 by establishing his own restaurant called "Oso" against the will of his father, along with his business partner, Nodar Moshiashvil . Emily Trebek works as a real estate agent in California and enjoys flipping houses. When it comes to what she does, Emily had this to say: “I have always been interested in homes. When I was little, I wanted to be an architect.”

Alex Trebek wrote his memoir entitled The Answer Is: Reflections on My Life. The book was published months shy of his untimely death. The book reflects upon Alex’s life and relationships as well as the work he did while on television.

Alex Trebek was also the author to a few Jeopardy books that had been published, including The Jeopardy! Audio Book published in 1990, The Jeopardy! Challenge: The Toughest Games from America’s Greatest Quiz published in 1992, and lastly The Jeopardy! Book: The Answers, the Questions, the Facts, and the Stories of the Greatest Game Show in History”.

Trebek was a host of a music show for teens in the 1960s in Canada called Music Hop. This is the show that gave Trebek his big break and really started his career. He officially got to host the show in 1963 and thus his road to stardom had officially been born. No matter where he worked or what he was doing, those he worked for, and his fans and admirers, said that he had always worked himself insanely hard to get his job done. Alex Trebek truly always has been and always will be one of the greats.
